Spodes 3rd annual Pismo Trip   2003

.....After taking a break from camping since the end of March. Pismo kicks off the beginning

of many riding trips through out the winter.

.....Out here in Cali the best time to ride is the winter months. When the rest of the country

is freezing we are roosting it up in 70 degree temps. Since it's still a little too hot to hit Glamis

Ocotillo and the like, Pismo is the perfect spot this time of year.

Thursday afternoon before the crowds arrive..................................................

Sunday night after the crowds leave. Whew, that was scary!...........................

All cleaned up and ready for bed time. 2 of my 3 little sheep...........................

This is my 7 year old boy Jacob. He's been on a quad sine the age 3. 

He's scary fast now. He rides this thing pinned around our little camp track. 

He is being introduced to 2 wheels now.

The cool thing about Pismo is that if you camp near the shore it's like being on the the main blvd.

Every one cruises up and down it and you get to see all types of rigs. I even saw a two wheel

drive motorcycle.

When we arrived the Ranger told us that all the tides were going to be around 3 to 3.5 feet high.

But, Sunday night was gonna be 5.6 ft high due to the new moon. So we parked about 10 feet

further back than every one else. After every one left and Sunday's tide got here it was really 

exciting as you can see here.

Picture perfect weather................................................................................

Pismo's water is crisp and clear. The family just loves it. this week end we saw dolphins,

sea otters, and whales all right of shore.
